As children across the country eagerly await their holidays, many parents face the challenge of finding suitable care for their little ones that allows them to continue working. Half-term programs give children the chance to interact with their peers, try new activities, or participate in exciting events.

For the upcoming winter break, we have prepared a special offer for parents – we invite you to participate in our innovative program “Holidays with the Polish Language.” This series of activities is specifically designed for children with Polish roots living in the United Kingdom.

Through participation in artistic workshops, games, educational adventures, and meetings with interesting people, your little ones will not only have a great time during the holidays. Most importantly, they will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of Polish culture, history, and traditions, as well as develop their language skills.

DEVELOPING LANGUAGE SKILLS

Through interactions with peers, thematic games, and grammar games, children will consolidate their knowledge of the Polish language. Fluent use of Polish is key to understanding the culture of their ancestors and communicating with family in Poland. The activities are adapted to different age groups and levels of proficiency.

EXPANDING KNOWLEDGE OF TRADITIONS

Artistic, culinary, and dance workshops will introduce children to the world of Polish traditions, customs, and rites. They will learn the taste of traditional dishes, learn to dance the polka and krakowiak, and find out where the Podhale patterns come from. They will understand the richness of folklore.

DISCOVERING CULTURAL HERITAGE

Through historical lessons, children will learn about the history associated with Poles and their heritage. They will broaden their understanding of Polish history.

By playing and learning with peers of Polish roots, children will gain a group with similar experiences. They will feel part of the diaspora and make new friends to share Polish traditions daily.
