Classes Schedule at Our School for the 2023/2024 School Year
Classes take place on Saturdays
from September to June, between 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM.
- Polish language lessons – learning reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Grammatical exercises and conversations.
- History and geography of Poland – learning about the most important historical events and geographical facts.
- Culture and traditions – classes on Polish traditions, customs, art, and music.
- Art classes – drawing, painting, papercuts, holiday decorations. Developing manual skills.
- Music and dance – learning Polish songs and folk dances.
- Theater education – staging fairy tales and special performances.
- Sports activities – outdoor games and activities or in the gym.
- Development of soft skills – cooperation, communication, creativity.
The priority is to teach the Polish language and introduce Polish culture in an attractive, engaging way. We aim for the holistic development of children through various activities.

Preschool – Kindergarten
What will a day at our school look like?
Here is the schedule for the youngest classes (preschool and kindergarten)
9:30 – 9:45: Welcome and Integration
- Starting the day with a warm welcome for students and teachers and a short integration song.
9:45 – 10:15: Developing Language Skills
Morning Reading
Introduction to the day’s topic
Vocabulary exercises, learning new words and phrases through games
and fun
*Each Saturday lesson has a central theme, e.g., Polish traditions, nature, animals, holidays, events, season
Learning About Polish Traditions and Holidays
Familiarisation with Polish customs, traditions, and holidays, such as Christmas, Easter, Andrzejki.
Listening to stories, fairy tales, and legends related to Polish culture.
10:15-10:30 Fruit Break
*Educational project promoting healthy eating habits “Vitaminka”
10:35 – 11:05: Group Work
Team Activities and Cooperation
Joint tasks, team games, building relationships, and group work skills.
11:05 – 11:35: Meal Break
- Children rest and have lunch.
11:40 – 12:10: Artistic activities and creative art creation
12:15-12.30 Physical games and gymnastics
- Outdoor activities, physical games, dance, which support motor development and a healthy lifestyle.
12:30 – 13:00: End of Day
- Summarising the day, saying goodbye, and handing out children’s work.

10:15-10:45 Polish Language
(Reading and Writing)
- Learning Polish letters, syllables, first words, and simple sentences through various exercises and games. (Adjusted to the level and abilities of students)
10:45 – 11:15: Polish Language (Developing Communication Skills)
- Group discussions, word games, and grammatical exercises to develop the ability to communicate in Polish.
11:15 – 11:45: Meal Break
- Children rest and have lunch.
11:45 – 12:15: Mathematics
- Developing mathematical skills, such as addition, subtraction, counting in Polish.
Alternately history/geography (rotation every two weeks)
12:15 – 12:45: Art Classes
Creating drawings, art works, and constructions, developing imagination and manual skills.

- Participating in music classes, singing songs, dances, and learning the basics of playing instruments.
12:45 – 13:00: End of Day
- Summarizing the day, saying goodbye, and handing out children’s work.

Schedule for Classes 4-7
Here is the schedule for younger classes (4-6) from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM:
9:30 – 10:00 Welcome and language warm-up
Casual conversation, communication exercises, introduction to the lesson’s topic.
10:00 – 11:00 Polish language
Text analysis, grammatical and lexical exercises, discussion on a given topic.
11:00 – 11:30 Break
Time for a snack and rest.
11:30 – 12:00 Polish history/geography
Discussing selected issues and historical figures.
Learning about regions, cities, rivers, mountains in Poland.
12:05 – 12:40 Project method work, group work
Implementation of joint project tasks in small teams.
12:45-13:00 Summary and farewell
Review and reinforcement of the material.
The schedule includes blocks dedicated to improving spoken and written Polish, learning about elements of Polish history and geography, and Polish traditions and culture. Classes are conducted interactively, with active participation from students.
