“The Magic of the Polish Heart” is a volunteer initiative at the Polish School in Ravenscourt Park, aimed at teaching children the values of volunteering, empathy, and helping others. This magical initiative is born from the belief that small gestures and the goodness we give to others can change the world.
As part of this initiative, children will be invited to participate in various charitable and volunteer activities. These will include:
- Postcards for lonely Polish seniors in England – students prepare wishes and drawings.
- Cleaning up Polish memorials or cemeteries in the area.
- Taking care of the graves of Polish soldiers or activists.
- Fundraising for charitable causes – e.g., for seriously ill children.
- Visits and organisation of events in Polish nursing homes.
- Preparing holiday packages for poor families.
- Artistic performances (theatre, dance, singing) in senior homes or care facilities.
Our students will be inspired to discover the magic of volunteering and feel the joy of helping others. They will experience how great satisfaction comes from the good they do, and see how their small gestures can positively impact the lives of others.
Volunteering is also an opportunity to develop empathy and understanding for the needs of others. Our students will learn how important it is to listen to another person, share their heart, and offer support in difficult moments.
“The Magic of the Polish Heart” permeates our school like a rainbow full of colours. We want the children to feel that they are part of a larger community acting for the good of others. Together, we will discover that helping others brings a lot of joy and fulfilment.
Let’s give our students the chance to experience the magic of volunteering. Everyone has something to offer – their heart, their creativity, their kindness. Let the Polish School in Ravenscourt Park become a magical place where little hearts learn how to change the world with one smile, one gesture, and one good deed.
