In November 2023, we had the honour of witnessing a special event at our Polish School – the student inauguration ceremony. In this unique moment, our children not only became full-fledged students but also reminded us of the importance of maintaining Polish identity and language beyond the borders of our country.

Why is the inauguration so significant?

In the multicultural environment of London, where our children encounter a diversity of cultures daily, the student inauguration takes on particular importance. It is a moment when the young generation of Poles living abroad affirms their attachment to Polish culture and language. It is a symbolic act of belonging to our community, key to building a strong cultural identity.

Touching moments of the ceremony

With great commitment, the students performed the song “Bo co może mały człowiek” (“What Can a Little Person Do”), which was not only a charming element of the ceremony but also a powerful message. The lyrics of this song, full of wisdom and hope, reminded us of the strength that every young person has in shaping a better world.

Our commitment as a school

Meeting only once a week, our school aims not only to teach the language but also to impart knowledge of Polish culture and traditions. Every Saturday spent at school is not just about lessons but also about building connections with Poland and Polish heritage.

Thanks to the community

We thank our students for their enthusiasm and commitment, our teachers for their passion and dedication, and our parents for the trust they place in our school. We are proud to be part of the Polish diaspora journey of these young people.

The student inauguration in a Polish Saturday school is more than just a ceremony – it is the seal of our mission in shaping the future ambassadors of Polish culture and values.
